ABOUT HFCFA
Honor Flight of the Cape Fear Area (HFCFA) honors WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War era Veterans by taking them all-expenses-paid to Washington, DC for a day of remembrance and honor as they visit the memorials and monuments built in their honor. Additionally, we work to educate the public on the service provided by these men and women and give them an opportunity to express their gratitude.
HFCFA is an all-volunteer organization that received official recognition from the national Honor Flight Network in February 2020. We are a 501(c)3 organization and are actively raising funds to pay for upcoming flights. We will soon accept 2023 flight applications for Veterans to travel, for Guardians to escort them, and for volunteers. We will need over 100 volunteers to make our inaugural flight a success. More details on how to get involved can be found under the applications tab above.
We will fly to Washington, DC each spring and our itinerary will likely include visits to the following memorials and monuments:

WWII Memorial

Vietnam War Memorial

Vietnam Women's Memorial

Korean War Memorial

Air Force Memorial

Navy Memorial

Iwo Jima Memorial

U.S. Coast Guard Memorial

Arlington National Cemetery with Changing of the Guard
